 What are your hours? Monday - Thursday 8AM-6PM & Friday 8AM-4PM What is your minimum order? Twelve piece minimum order; we can do less than that for $10 per screen service charge if necessary. What are screen set-up fees? Screens are tools we use in the production of your imprinted shirts. You will pay an up-front charge to make screens for your first order. Each color on each side of the shirt in your design needs its own screen. Each screen costs $18 if it is for a one-time print run, or $25 if you wish to keep your screen on file for future reorders at no charge. If your shirts contain a pocket-sized print on one side and a large print on the other, we can fit both designs on one screen. Screens and film positives remain the property of Shirtmasters. How much do you charge to do artwork? We give you the first 15 minutes of artwork free; we can accomplish a lot in 15 minutes and many customers pay nothing for artwork. If your graphics are very complex and require more time, we charge $35.00 per hour. We can estimate this for you up front. Can I do my own artwork? Yes. We can work with whatever you give us and do a s much or as little as you'd like. What format do you need my artwork in? We can make it work from a sketch on a napkin, if necessary, buy ideally, you would provide us with your graphics via email or on a disk in PC format. Mac graphics can be exported as .eps files for a PC. Vector-based images (.eps, .cdr, .ai) work best. Bitmap images (.jpg, .bmp, .tif) are useable, but may require artwork charges for conversion. These types of files should be at 300dpi at actual printed size. A hard copy is the next best thing; black on white paper works best. You will need to mail or bring in your artwork, as faxed art will lose resolution. Faxing is fine if we need to clean up the art anyway or if it is fairly simple. Can I put a photo on a shirt? Yes. If you only need a few shirts, the heat transfers method is the most economical. This involves you bringing your photo to Kinko's, Capital Copy, or other printing company and requesting a t-shirt transfer, which we can press onto a shirt for you. If you need many shirts, we will separate your photo into four primary colors and print using "process" colors to reproduce your original photo onto your shirts. This method works well and will last longer than heat transfers, but costs from $100 to $150 for the color separations. What brands of shirts do you use? We use premium quality shirts from the major mills like Hanes, Jerzees, Fruit of the Loom, Anvil, Gildan and many others. If you have a brand preference, we can usually provide those for you. What's the difference between 50/50 and 100% cotton shirts? 100% cotton shirts are a little heavier, breathe better and, in some dark colors, maintain the ink color better. 50/50 shirts are a little cheaper and lighter. Both are fine shirts and look great. Will my shirts shrink? Most shirts are pre-shrunk and will not shrink much at all; certainly not enough to change sizes. Are all shirt sizes the same price? All adult sizes (S, M, L, XL) are the same price. Add $1.50 per shirt for XXL and $2.25 for XXXL. Youth sizes are about $ .10 cheaper for T-shirts and about $1.00 cheaper for sweats. How much does embroidery cost? Embroidery costs from $3.00 to $5.00 more per piece than screen printing and has a higher initial set-up fee usually from $40 to $100 (priced according to complexity and stitch count). What is your turn around time? If you can plan on two weeks, you will never be disappointed. Often your shirts will be done quicker, but we will guarantee them within these specified time frames. Rush orders may be processed for a small fee. Can I mix shirt styles and colors? Yes mix them up as much as you like, keeping in mind a few things. If you get both light and dark colored shirts, it may be necessary to change ink colors, adding $10.00 per screen. Also, it's more likely that availability could be an issue with more styles and colors you request. Can you match an exact ink color? We cannot guarantee exact sample color replications or pantone colors, but we will do our best to come close, using our Pantone color match ink system. A sample shirt or Pantone number is also very helpful to us. Can I order just one shirt? No. You may want to consider the heat transfer method instead of screen printing (see “photo on shirt” question above). If you want the shirt for a sample so you can take orders, the best approach is to order a safe amount (12 to 36), sell them and then place a re-order for the rest.
